UNRISD Social and Solidarity Economy
In the last months we have been investigating on “social and solidarity finance.” The highlight was the workshop “Social and Solidarity Finance: Tensions, Opportunities and Transformative Potential” that took place on 11-12 May in Geneva, organized in partnership with the ILO and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.

Also available is a sentence recognizing the role of social and solidarity finance that experts wish to be added to the Outcome Document of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (Addis Ababa, 13-16 July). That sentence received the support of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (TFSSE) and of the secretariat of the International Leading Group on Social and Solidarity Economy.
